What is Kefir? Sometimes referred to as “drinkable yogurt”, kefir is a smooth, creamy, gluten-free fermented drink that has a pleasant tart-sour taste. It's slightly effervescent and rich in gut-friendly bacteria. It's much lower in lactose than fresh milk and many other dairy products, though it is not 100% lactose-free.
