Herd Shares
What is a Herd Share?

In Oregon it's illegal to sell raw milk directly to the public. Herdshares allow you to become a partial owner of the herd, which then legally entitles you to obtain raw milk. And, as a shareholder of the herd, you are able to purchase any of the dairy products made from raw milk —and other products from our farm as well (such as farm-fresh eggs, and starting next year, beef and poultry.)
How it Works:
- You pay a one-time $35 fee for a share and then pay monthly boarding fees for care and maintenance of the herd.
- In return, you receive a portion of the milk produced, in whatever form you prefer, based on a fixed amount per week.
- Myers Milk Co. delivers members' products to designated drop-off points
Drop off points are location such as farmers markets or licensed facilities, where members can pick up their share of the milk and other products. (For legal purposes, no sale or promotion of the product is allowed at these drop-off points.)
Why Herdshares?
Herdshares are the legal solution that allows individuals to have access to wholesome, nutritious products of the farm, that are delivered fresh from the farm to the consumer. In this way, you can enjoy unprocessed natural food without harmful chemicals, dyes or preservatives.
